Asia’s largest cruise ship returns Vietnam

The Ovation of the Seas cruise ship has docked at Tan Cang Cai Mep Port in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province to start its four-day tour of the southern and central region of Vietnam.

This is the second time the cruise ship, Asia’s largest, has visited Vietnam.

In this visit, Ovation of the Seas brought about 3,500 tourists, the majority of them being American, English, Canadian or Australian. After docking at Tan Can – Cai Mep for travellers to visit some tourist spots in Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Ho Chi Minh city, the ship will call at Chan May Port for the holidaymakers to tour Da Nang, Hue and Hoi An.

Ovation of the Seas is under the Royal Carribbean International group. It weighs 168,666 tons and features 18 decks and 16 guest elevators with enough space for 4,900 guests plus 1500 crew.

Facilities on-board include a skydiving simulator, the Bionic Bar where robots mix drinks, bumper cars and even a wave pool and surfing simulator.

There are also basketball courts, roller skating, theatres and three pools.

Saigontourist Travel Service Company received the trip of the cruise ship, as it did the first time the ship came to Vietnam last year

In the first four months of the year, Saigontourist received 99 cruise ship arrivals docking at Ho Chi Minh city, Vung Tau, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hue and Ha Long, with a total of more than 177,000 tourists and crew./.
