Viet Nam attends the world’s leading travel trade show ITB Berlin 2017

(TITC) – On March 7, 2017, the world’s leading travel trade show ITB Berlin 2017 themed “Powerful Ideas for Sustainable Success” officially kicked off at the CityCube Berlin, Germany.

At the fair, Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) in collaboration with Viet Nam Tourism Association built Viet Nam tourism’s booth with an area of 200m2 with the participation of Departments of Tourism of Ha Noi, Ninh Binh and 32 tourism enterprises. The booth focuses on introducing National Tourism Year 2017 “Northwest Color”.

Besides, Ha Noi, Phu Quoc as well as the destinations which were selected for important scenes of the blockbuster movie Kong: Skull Island including Ninh Binh, Ha Long, Quang Binh are also showcased at the booth.

On the opening day, VNAT’s delegation met with the world’s leading media agencies and travel agents as TUI Travel, MC Group, American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA); and participated in the Mekong Tourism Forum. Notably, TUI Travel proposed to open direct flights from London to Phu Quoc from November 2017.

On March 9, Vietnamese delegation organized a press conference introducing Viet Nam tourism and cocktail at the booth; and took part in the launching ceremony of Visit Asean@50.

ITB Berlin 2017 taking place from March 8-12, 2017 attracts around 10,000 exhibitors, 1,000 buyers, 26,000 delegates from 187 countries and territories; and is expected to welcome about 60,000 visitor arrivals to the fair. This is a good opportunity for national tourism authorities, tourism enterprises and visitors to promote tourism, seek cooperation opportunity, and choose favorable destinations.
