Visitors to Hanoi increase by 17% during Tet holiday – Attractions – Travel

In particular, the number of international arrivals reached over 85,000 passengers, up 63% over the same period last year, mainly from the Republic of Korea, China, Japan and France.
Domestic tourists reached 222,600 passengers, an increase of 6% over the same period in 2015.
Total tourism revenue for the Tet holiday was estimated to gain 984 billion VND, up 4% over the same period. Cultural tourism destinations and festivals attracted various visitors such as Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple, Huong Pagoda.
From February 8 to 12 (the first to fifth day in the lunar calendar), about 150,000 holiday-makers visited Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (the Temple of Literature).
Most came to the temple to pray for good luck for examinations in the coming new year.
