Vietnam – Top low-cost destination in 2017

Forbes magazine has listed Northern Vietnam as the best budget travel destination for 2017.

The magazine said “Northern Vietnam is where the most sensational scenery and culture can be found. Rice terraces, towering mountains, twisting roads and ethnic minority people all add to the adventure.”

The region has food prices between USD0.5 and USD2, private accommodation costs from USD10 to USD15 a night or dorms as low as USD5. Transport costs more than a few dollars between towns. Travellers can hire a motorbike to save their budgets.

This year’s list of the 21 best budget travel destinations features exotic ideas from some of the world’s experts in travel.
