At the annual event, Vietnam Airlines’ booth introduces information on tourism and plane tickets from Europe to Vietnam and vice versa.

While visiting Vietnam’s booth at the fair, Vietnamese Ambassador in Belgium Vuong Thua Phong said that Vietnam’s representative offices in foreign countries have actively collaborated with organizations such as Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Vietnam Airlines, Vietnam’s travel agencies and local friends, to promote Vietnam tourism.

Vietnam is ready to create favourable conditions for tourists, especially improving the visa process for tourists by issuing a decree allowing an electronic visa form pilot program and regulations on visa exemption for some tourists in key areas of tourism in Europe.

He believes these measures will help attract more tourists from Europe to Vietnam.

According to the Ambassador, Vietnam’s tourism promotion activities in Europe in general and in Belgium in particular still face many difficulties. However, the problem of attracting European tourists to Vietnam is tourism products. If the quality of Vietnam’s services is improved, more and more European tourists will choose Vietnam.

Vietnam Airlines is the only representative of Vietnam to attend the fair this year. To be recognized by Sky Trax as a 4-star airline, and added two new aircraft in 2016, an A350 and Boeing 787, Vietnam Airlines has confirmed its position in the European market as well as around the world.

At the fair, Vietnam Airlines introduced to its partners and guests many attractive tourism products, such as tourism to explore nature, resort, and tourism combination with conferences, with preferential plane ticket prices.

The representative of Vietnam Airlines announced that today it has representative offices in France, Germany and the UK, and agents in other regions such as APG company, which will provide information or offer business solutions in the Belgian market.

However, according to the representative, Vietnam still has limited tourism promotion and Vietnam Airlines hasn’t really created diverse choices for customers, as it has only three direct flights to Europe.

Mr. Pascal Van de Moortel, an agent of Vietnam Airlines in Belgium, said visitors tend to change their selection of destinations and Vietnam is a rapidly growing destination. There are many reasons European tourists want to go to Vietnam, because Vietnam has a favourable climate and stable political situation. Political stability is an advantage for Vietnam to offer cultural, entertainment and resort tourism products suitable for all tourists.

With nearly 800 booths of tourism companies and airlines from 65 countries, Brussels International Tourism Fair 2017 introduces a full range of attractive tourism product types from outlying and unfamiliar destinations to familiar places in the world.

Vietnam’s booth attracts many travel companies and individuals to learn more information about the country./.
