The HCM City Tourism Service has reviewed all the activities held during the three-day International Travel Expo ITE 2007, which attracted 1,750 representatives from tourism businesses and 10,000 visitors.
The most prominent feature of the exhibition was that most international visitors were looking to find contracts and set up relations with domestic businesses. The Saigontourist Travel Company signed 18 contracts with partners from Singapore, Poland, Australia and South Africa while the Ben Thanh Tourism Company made 20 contracts with international partners.
During the event, the Tourism Ministers of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia signed a joint declaration on tourism cooperation on the basis of promoting advertising and designing slogans, logos, tapping into strength of each country and focusing on cultural and natural values to portray the individual characteristics of the three Indochina nations.
The success of the event will give fresh impetus to opening more potential opportunities for cooperation between the Vietnamese tourism sector and other countries.
