Vietjet Air connects Hai Phong city to Seoul and Bangkok

(CPV) – The budget carrier Vietjet Air on September 19th said that it will operate the two routes linking Hai Phong, the northern coastal city of Vietnam, to Seoul (the Republic of Korea) and Bangkok (Thailand).

The announcement ceremony was part of the Conference on Investment Promotion in Hai Phong city with the presence of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Chairwoman of Vietjet, said that by running the two new routes, the Airline has increased its domestic and international routes from/to Cat Bi international airport to nine.

Accordingly, from December 12th, the Hai Phong-Seoul route will depart from Cat Bi airport on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday, at 23h45 (local time) and arrive in the Republic of Korea’s capital at 06h00 (local time), with return flight taking off at 07h15 (local time) and arriving at 10h40 (local time). Total flying time is around five hours per leg.

While the Hai Phong-Bangkok route will be operated every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, starting from November 9th.

As a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Vietjet Air meets the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) program (an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline).

Last year, it received the title of Best Asian Low Cost Carrier from Travel Trade Gazettes (TTG) Travel Awards, while entered the top three fastest growing Facebook airlines brands in the world as rated by analysis website Socialbakers (the most popular provider of social media analytic tools, statistics and metrics for Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and YouTube).

Currently, with a fleet of over forty A320 and A321 aircrafts, around 350 flights each day, it operates 53 routes to almost corners of the nation as well as Singapore, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan-China, China, Thailand, Myanmar and Malaysia.

Around 30 million passengers were transported by Vietjet Air since its first flight in 2007.
