Southern hub to host ninth book festival

PANO – Ho Chi Minh City’s ninth Book Festival will get underway at the Le Van Tam Park, District 1 between March 21st and 27th.

Under the theme “Books – Culture – Integration and Development”, the biennial event is expected to attract about 200 publishers inside and outside the country, with more than 500 stalls.

Visitors can also participate in exhibitions, seminars and talks, book launches and other entertainment.

The festival aims to further promote good reading habits in the community, raise public awareness of books’ values, appreciate the efforts of those involved in book development, and enhance responsibility of various sectors, social organizations and individuals towards promoting reading.
