(VOVworld) – On Thursday Indonesia’s Health Ministry advised its citizens not to travel to countries affected by the Zika virus. The advisory followed the World Health Organization’s global warning, which asked countries to increase measures to prevent the virus from spreading. Indonesian Health Minister Nila Moeloek advised pregnant women not to travel to affected countries or else take precautions.
Bangladesh’s Health Minister Mohammad Nasim called for stricter border control to prevent the Zika virus from entering the country.
A man and 4 women have been detected with symptoms of Zika fever in New Zealand, bringing the total number of infections there to 10.
