HA NOI – Dong Thap have paid more than VND5 billion (US$222,000) to recruit striker Udo Fortune for one year.
Nigeria’s Fortune, a former player of V-League champions Becamex Binh Duong, is the second foreigner to join the new club. He will receive VND70 million per month as salary.
The 28-year-old scored eight goals in 24 matches when he played for Becamex Binh Duong in the 2012-13 season.
Fortune was a member of Nigeria’s U17 squad. He was the best scorer, with 26 goals, of the Indonesian league in the 2010-11 period, when he wore Persiba Bantul FC’s jersey.
Earlier, Dong Thap extended the contract with Samson Kpenosen by another year. – VNS
