Hanoi associates with “the host” of National Tourism Year 2016

The Hanoitimes – Promoting its position as a tourist center in the North, Hanoi will strengthen links with “the host” of National Tourism Year 2016 in Phu Quoc – Mekong Delta to develop its potentials and advantages.

But the similarities in lifestyle, culture, natural scenery of both the strengths to create tourism brand in Mekong Delta. On the other hand, the link between the Mekong Delta provinces are weak; traffic system is inconsistent; propagation and promotion have not been properly invested, so it has low effectiveness.

Even the Director of Tien Giang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Minh admitted that ” I’m the manager working in culture – tourism sector for decades, 2-3 years ago, I just know of the beauty of the Northwest, Northeast. So how can visitors know? “. From this reality, experts say, the National Tourism Year 2016, “the host” to strengthen links with the province, city and region to produce unique products aiming at sustainable development.

With its position as a tourist center in the North, Hanoi has active links and cooperation with the Mekong Delta provinces. Thus, each year, tens of thousands of visitors from Hanoi to the Mekong Delta and vice versa. However, according to Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Duc Hai, the number is still too small compared with the potential of the two sides. Therefore, in response to the National Tourism Year 2016 – Phu Quoc – Mekong Delta – Hanoi Tourism Department recently held a survey in Phu Quoc, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang. Mission aims to enhance cooperation and exchange of experience in management of the tourism sector and create conditions for tourism businesses and the provincial capital, the city meet and exchange information, the survey points to build and connect the tourist route between Hanoi and other provinces.

With the active link that is specific and in-depth, believing that cooperation activities of develop tourism between Hanoi and the provinces and the Mekong Delta will be elevated in both quality and quantity, contributing to the Smokeless industry sector in the locality as well as nationwide.
