Pham Van Dong University starts new academic year 2015-2016

Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Van Minh speaks at the ceremony

Pham Van Dong (PVD) University on October 14 held the ceremony to start new school year 2015-2016 with the participation of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Minh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Le Quang Thich and leaders from departments and agencies. ​

In school year 2015-2016, PDU University receives more than 1,500 freshmen at university and college levels. With a staff of 01 Associate Professors, 15 PhDs and 154 MAs, the University continue to focus on increasing the quality of teaching and learning activities.

In term of international relations, PVD University has received and trained nearly 80 Laotian students, coordinated with VVOB Organization (Belgium) to implement the second phase of the education development Project.

Addressing at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Van Minh highly appreciated results gained by PVD University’s staffs and teachers. In the upcoming time, he hoped that PVD University would continue to maintain and prove achievements in training quality; to renew teaching methods and programs.

Besides, PVD University should have plans to attract talents, standardize the training work, improve the lecturers’ quality, he added.

At the ceremony, PVD University rewarded excellent students with great study results; banks, Doosan Vina, the provincial Study Encouragement Association and other units also provided scholarships for poor-studious students with the total amount of more than VND 200 million.
