HA NOI (VNS) — The Asian Football Confederation opened a professional football coaching course for trainees from Viet Nam, the Philippines and Malaysia in Ha Noi on Wednesday.
At the opening ceremony, Viet Nam Football Federation (VFF) Permannent Vice President Tran Quoc Tuan said the national coaching committee and the VFF felt it was important to improve training for coaches in Viet Nam.
The AFC and VFF had been working together to organise training courses, conferences and workshops to equip local coaches with the skills and certificates they needed to attend advanced training courses, he added.
AFC coaching instructor Lim Kim Chon spoke highly of the VFF’s efforts, saying that trainees would learn new rules of the game and become more professional in order to find solutions that Vietnamese football is currently facing.
The first course module will run until October 23, and another three are scheduled in 2016 and 2017. — VNS
