Ly Hoang Nam will resume his partnership with India’s Sumit Nagal in the men’s doubles event of the 2015 Vietnam Open.

Offering a total of 90 bonus ATP rating points and US$50,000 in prize money, the tournament, scheduled to take place at Lan Anh Tennis Club in Ho Chi Minh City from October 10 to 18, promises to entertain spectators with electrifying matches between many of the ATP’s top 300 players.

Vietnam will be represented by the nation’s two leading tennis stars, Ly Hoang Nam and Nguyen Hoang Thien, who will be granted wild cards to the main rounds of both the singles and doubles events. Particularly in the doubles category, Nam will resume his partnership with India’s Sumit Nagal with whom he won the Wimbledon junior boys’ doubles title two months ago.

The eight-day event is expected to be an excellent opportunity for Ly Hoang Nam to accumulate summit competition experience as he will seize the chance to meet with former world no. 19 Marcel Granollers, who won the Davis Cup twice with the Spanish team (in 2008 and 2011) and made the men’s doubles finals of the 2014 Roland Garros and US Open.

Apart from Marcel Granollers, the tournament also features many other strong players including James Duckworth (Australia, world no. 98), 2010 Asian Games winner Somsev Devvarman (India, world no. 116), Luke Saville (Australia, world no. 205) and Daniel Nguyen (Vietnamese American, world no. 228).

The ATP Challenger Tour is the second professional tennis circuit organized by the ATP in 2015. The 2015 ATP Challenger Tour calendar comprises of 165 tournaments, with prize money ranging from US$40,000 up to US$220,000. It is the 39th edition of the challenger tournament series, and the 7th Challenger Tour thus far.
