After 9 days of performance, the contest of National Professional dance-music Arts – session 2 in 2015 was concluded in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. Sao Bien Theatre is one of the four art units winning the gold medal, the rest are the Art Team of Military Region 7, Dance-Music Group of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and Public Art Team of Military Region 2.
Sao Bien theater’s Art program in the contest is titled “Tram tich song Ba”, consisting of three chapters: “Mach nguon”, “Phu sa” and “Bien me” with 11 repertoires, two of which are gold medal-winning repertoires, i.e the poetry dance of “Me phu sa” (music: Manh Tien, choreography: Elite Artist of Nguyen Huu Tu and Van Hien, performers: Minh Hieu and dance group) and the female solo repertoire of Tuy Hoa wind (composer: Duc Trinh, Engineering Coordinator: Xuan Phuong, performer: Le My Nhu); the three winning silver medals are the female solo of “Han” (composer: Tan Phat, instrumentation: Xuan Huy, performer: Thanh Van), singing – dancing of “Dai ngan hung thieng” (music: Elite Artist Thanh Hai, choreography: Elite Artist of Huu Tu, performers: theater collective) and the dance repertoire of “Tram tich” (music: Elite Artist Thanh Hai, choreography: Minh Hieu, performances: Sao Bien dance team). Musicians – Elite Artist Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the theater, was awarded the Best Songwriter prize by Vietnam Musicians’ Association; the troupe of the theater was presented the best prize by Vietnam Dance Artists’ Association.
The national contest of professional music art, session 2, year 2015 was organized by the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) from September 10th to 19th in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, attended by 21 public art units. The competition aims to assess the quality and efficiency of public art units in the country, honor the collectives and individuals with outstanding artworks.
