Chan May port’s Wharf No.1 upgrading project inaugurated

The People’s Committee of Thua Thien- Hue province and Ship Corporation co- organized an inauguration ceremony for Chan May port’s Wharf No.1 upgrading project with total investment capital of VND 310 billion at Loc Vinh Commune, Phu Loc district, Thua Thien- Hue on September 21.

Chan May port is one of 46 seaports which Asia Yacht Association choose for the destination in Southeast Asia.

Thua Thien- Hue will receive approximately 60, 000 travelers and international tourist cruises to dock Chan May port in 2015.

On the same day, the cruise Voyager of the Seas of the US Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines carrying over 3,000 tourists and 1,200 crew members arrived in Chan May port.

Passengers are scheduled to tour the ancient imperial city of Hue, Hoi An ancient town, and Da Nang city.

Voyager of the Seas is the world’s 3rd largest luxury cruise ship docked at Chan May port which is considered as successful experiment for Chan May port’s Wharf No.1 upgrading project as well as first activity related to link and boost tourism cooperation between Thua Thien-Hue province with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Company.
