— Police in the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau on Wednesday seized 130 motorbikes whose owners attempted to organize illegal races early the same day.
— A Vietnamese fishing boat with eight crew members aboard drifting off the central Vietnamese province of Quang Ngai in the East Vietnam Sea was rescued by the Vietnam Coast Guard on Wednesday.
— A raging fire broke out at first light on Wednesday and destroyed several booths at the Van Thach market in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa, with damage estimated at more than VND3 billion (US$133,929).
