The Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched the photo contest and exhibition titled “Discovering Vietnam”.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien said the contest and exhibition are activities to realize the project “Promoting National Tourism in 2015″, contributing to broadcast the traditional cultural and natural heritages, landscapes, cuisine, and the people of Vietnam to foreign friends.

The “Discovering Vietnam” photo contest and exhibition encourage the trend of strange and new compositions and , unique works which attract international and local tourists to famous travel destinations across Vietnam.

Entries must be single photos which have not been shown or have won any national-level contests launched by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Each competitor is allowed to summit a maximum of five photos of different themes such as sea and island tourism, cultural and heritage tourism, ecological and natural tourism, and city tourism. Entries must be sent to khamphavietnamphoto.vn until October 30th.

The organising board will present one first, two second, three third and five consolation prizes to the most outstanding photos./.
