VND 51.5 billion funded by NGOs

​Said a source of the Quang Ngai provincial Department of Foreign Affairs, in the period of 15 June – 15 July of 2015, Quang Ngai received 05 projects worth over VND 11 billion, raising total aid in the first 7 months of the year to nearly VND 51.5 billion with 36 programs and projects funded by international non-governmental organizations (NGO).

​These projects have mainly focused on improving the life quality of poor households, building schools and upgrading hospitals, supporting children with facial deformities on cleft lips and palates, rehabilitation after surgery, donating scholarships and helping the people to prevent and mitigate the damages caused by natural disasters.

Besides, as approved by the PPC, a Korean volunteer, Mr. Kim Hong Gown has been agreed to work as a primary teacher in two years for Tinh Tho primary school No. 2, Son Tinh district. ​

DoFA also requested the Committee for foreign non-governmental organization affairs to consider, permit operation areas of Quang Ngai province for some NGOs such as Operation Smile, Comexseo Association.
