HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam beat two rivals in the Japan-Mekong U15 Football Exchange 2015, held in J Green Sakai Centre in Japan, on July 1.
In the first match, Viet Nam easily defeated Vissel Kobe FC 3-0.
Captain Nguyen Hong Son opened the score for Viet Nam with a penalty kick. The two remaining goals were scored by Pham Dinh Long and Vu Dinh Hai.
In the second match with Cambodia, Viet Nam gained three points, thanks to the only goal scored by Nguyen Manh Tai.
Today, Viet Nam will play hosts Japan.
The best Vietnamese players at the event will be selected for the national U16 team that will participate in the 2015 ASEAN U16 Football Championships in Cambodia in late July, and then in the qualifying round of the 2015 Asian U16 Football Championships.
