South Korean Lee wins third stage in cycling tournament

HCM CITY (VNS) — Lee Eun-hee won the third stage of the An Giang Television Cycling Tournament yesterday.

Lee of South Korea’s Samyang team went solo 6km to complete the 95km stage from Vinh Long to Soc Trang City with a time of 2hr 36.32min.

Pham Hong Loan of Biwase-Binh Duong came second, followed by Nguyen Thi Thi of Gao Hat Ngoc Troi-An Giang.

Her outstanding victory has pushes Lee to the top spot with a total time of 6:6.37. Loan and Thi have secured the second and third positions, respectively.

Nguyen Thi That of Gao Hat Ngoc Troi-An Giang retains the leader’s green jersey in the race with 54 points.

Samyang lead the team rankings after three stages. Biwase-Binh Duong and Gao Hat Ngoc Troi-An Giang are close behind.

Lee will start the 117km fourth stage, from Soc Trang to Ca Mau City, in her yellow jersey today. — VNS
