HA NOI — Coach Dinh Cao Nghia has agreed to resume coaching the V.League 1 side Quang Ninh Coal after resting for two rounds.

Nghia sent his resignation to the club’s management after Quang Ninh’s performance failed to match expectations after the end of the first leg and in the early stages of the second leg.

However, his resignation was not accepted, and the managers persuaded him to stay on.

In his absence, Quang Ninh won a match and lost a second match. They are now ranked seventh, with 27 points.

The next round will begin on July 23, and Quang Ninh will host defending champions Becamex Binh Duong at Cam Pha Stadium. — VNS
