About 2,000 bikes will participate in the 2015 Vietnam Motorbike Festival in Ho Chi Minh City next month, which will feature performances on Vietnam’s largest flat track.
The two-day event, which will kick off on August 14, “will bring back races and motorbike skills that were widely known on the track in the 1990s,” said CEO Nguyen Tan Anh of Golden Times Communication, the event organizer.
Forty-eight flat trackers will show off their skills on the track, which is nearly 1km long, with curves of up to 22m wide.
Other activities include a competition for stunt and drift bikes, a display of modern and antique bikes, and a bike decoration contest of which the winning bike will be auctioned to help disadvantaged children in remote areas.
A competition will attract visitors with skillful performances from local and international stunt and drift bikers.
Visitors can also find a motorbike or accessories at the Silk Road Flea Market, as well as various game shows with motorbike-related themes during the two-day event.
The organizer hopes to attract 60,000 riders and enthusiast to the event
