The return flight carrying 157 travelers took off from Can Tho and arrived in Bangkok on the same day.

Under cooperation between the People’s Committee of Can Tho City, Thailand’s VietJet Air and Vietravel, the tour leading operator company will charter one return flight using 180-seat Airbus A320 plane provided by Thailand’s VietJet Air every five days.

Four other experimental direct flights will be launched on July 25, 27, 29 and August 2.

The flight will depart at Bangkok at 11.30 a.m. and land in Can Tho at 1.30 p.m. Flight time is about 70 minutes.

A one-way ticket will cost VND2, 699,000. A five-day package tour, Can Tho-Bangkok-Pattaya will be VND7, 390,000.

The People’s Committee of Can Tho and the carrier hope that the new service will attract more visitors to the Mekong Delta city.
