2,500 people to join National Day parade Related image(s)
On July 21st, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that about 2,500 artists were expected to join a grand parade in celebration of the 70th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd.
The parade, taking place along the Hung Vuong boulevard and Ba Dinh Square, passing the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, will feature historical landmarks of the country as well as the aspiration for development of the Vietnamese people. The parade aims to portray national cultural achievements as well as highlighting historical milestones which have contributed to improving a golden page in the country’s history. The art parade will include both modeling and artistic ensembles. The artists will participate in their own parade which will take place after the military parade and a procession to honor Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements. The event will express Vietnam’s cultural development through the different historical stages and honor the unique culture of some typical ethnic communities representing 54 nationalities of Vietnam and the national cultural heritages honored by the UNESCO. On the occasion, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will also organize an exhibition and distribute large propaganda posters in three cities and provinces, including Hai Phong, Gia Lai and Tuyen Quang./. |
