Nam seeded No 9 at Wimbledon

HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam’s No 1 Ly Hoang Nam has been seeded No 9 at the junior competition at Wimbledon which will begin later this month.

Nam is training hard in Belgium in prepare for the event, after his participation at the French Open last month.

This is the third Grand Slam event that the 18-year-old has taken part in this year.

“It will be the first time that I have played on Wimbledon’s grass courts, and I don’t have much experience on that surface. I will have to focus on every match and play at my best,” said Nam.

The world junior No 13 will warm up at the Nike Junior International Roehampton from June 28-July 3 in London.

The Wimbledon junior event will run from July 4-12. — VNS
