Mozambique cultural week to launch in Hanoi

PANO – The Republic of Mozambique will hold a ceremony to mark the 40^th anniversary of its National Independence and the 40^th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam – Mozambique diplomatic relations on June 25^th, 2015, as released at a press conference held by the Embassy of Mozambique in Vietnam on June 11^th.

Celebration activities, as agreed upon by both countries, will take place both in Maputo – Mozambique and Hanoi – Vietnam.

The Embassy of Mozambique in Vietnam, in association with Mozambique’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Vietnam’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will organize a cultural week with cultural, sport and gastronomic activities from June 13^th to 19^th in Hanoi.

Additionally, a football tournament is scheduled to take place on June 13^th between the Mozambican community in Vietnam and the Vietnam government agencies and the military-run telecom group, Viettel. In the evening, there will be a dinner at the Aquaria Restaurant. Finally, there will be a show performed by the Mozambique National Song and Dance Company at the Opera House in Hanoi on June 16^th.

More political, diplomatic, economic and cultural activities are expected to take place throughout this year.
