The annual Monkey Festival will return this year on Lao Island in central Vietnam this Sunday.

Dubbed “Monkey Island,” this is home to more than 1,000 wild monkeys, located about 18 kilometers north of the resort town of Nha Trang.

Two tons of fruits will be served to the primates in a banquet held at the center of the tourism island, according to organizers.

Visitors will be treated to a performance of dance and sports by trained monkeys, as well as participate in various events, including a bamboo raft race, a stilt race, and a net weaving contest.

The organizers said they hope the festival will inspire visitors’ love of nature.
