Vietnamese men’s volleyball team
NDO/VNA – Vietnam will take part in the Asian U23 Volleyball Championship in Myanmar, May 12-20.
Vietnam is in Pool C with China, Chinese Taipei, Turmenistan and Australia.
This year’s tournament has 19 teams competing in a round robin format in the preliminaries, May 12-16.
The opening matches will see hosts Myanmar take on Maldives; Thailand challenge Saudi Arabia; Qatar meet Malaysia; the Philippines play India, and Vietnam battle Chinese Taipei.
The two top teams from the nine-day championship will qualify for the second FIVB Volleyball Men’s U23 World Championship, which will take place in Dubai, the United Arabs Emirates, from August 24-31.
