Tourists pour in Mekong Delta during public holidays

Thousands of visitors came to the President Ho Chi Minh Temple in the Mekong Delta Province of Tra Vinh on April 30, according to the management board.

The temple was built in 1970 by Tra Vinh’s people. The construction is dedicated to the late President Ho Chi Minh where visitors can express their admiration and gratitude to Uncle Ho.

This is also the place where Tra Vinh residents hold anniversary celebrations of Uncle Ho’s death. The historical site of the temple includes an Uncle Ho stilt-house which is similar to the original design in Hanoi.

Ecological tourist areas along Tien and Co Chien rivers, such as Con Phung (Phung islet), Con Thoi Son (Thoi Son islet) Ben Tre Province ; My Tho Tourist pier, Vinh Trang pagoda, Dong Tam Snake Farm, Tan Thanh Beach in Tien Giang Province saw a large number of around 5,000 holiday-makers.

The number of tourist to Can Tho City, Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces is 5-7 times higher than normal day.

Meanwhile, hotel rooms in Da Lat resorts in the central highland province of Lam Dong have been fully booked. The city was crowded with local and foreign tourists on holidays, making traffic jams on its major roads.

Tourist areas in Da Lat City also experienced a rise of visitors. Da Lat City Flower Garden received more than 28,000 travelers; Love Valley and Dreaming Hill welcomed 34,500 visitors; and Datanla Fall received about 18,000 people.
