The PPC's Vice Chairman Le Quang Thich awards scholarships to poor pupils

On May 06, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in collaboration with the provincial Youth Union held a ceremony to launch HIV/AIDS, injuries and children drowning prevention 2015. ​

Vice Chairman of the PPC Le Quang Thich attended the ceremony.

The event aims to call on all agencies and units from provincial to grassroots levels and each family, individuals to perform well for a society, community, family and individual without HIV/AIDS, injuries and children drowning.

Reported by local authorities, in 2014, the province has 25 children out of 604 people infected with HIV/AIDS (mainly being transmitted from mother). More than 630 children were injured and drowned, including 31/33 children died due to drowning.

Quang Ngai is one of 17 provinces and cities across the country that has the highest rate of drowning children.

At the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman Le Quang Thich awarded scholarships to 20 poor students, students with disabilities in the province area.

After the launching ceremony, youth union members paraded through the main streets of the Quang Ngai city in order to propagandize the action plan of the National Action Program for Children (period 2012-2020) and the action program for Children of Quang Ngai province.
