PANO – Hundreds of artists and athletes from localities in the central region attended the 2015 Ethnic Minority Cultural Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Vinh city, Nghe An province.
The festival, ending on May 19th, includes a parade, traditional art performances and sport competitions, such as stick pushing, wooden peg-top playing, and “con” throwing (throwing a cloth ball through a ring hung on the top of a post).
The on-going event, part of the 2015 Sen Village Festival in Nam Dan district, Nghe An province to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19th 1890), features various different cultural identities of Vietnam’s ethnic minority groups and promotea their cultural traditions, contributing to consolidating and strengthening the strength of national great unity.
