PANO – A ceremony, co-organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Popularization and Education and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, was held on May 16th to award excellent individuals and groups participating in an online competition, themed “Youths learning and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” in the 2014-2015 academic year.
Over 77,600 competitors took part in three rounds of the competition. The organizing panel presented 60 prizes to excellent individuals and groups, namely first prizes to the Nguyen Tat Thanh University and student Nguyen Van Bang from Ho Chi Minh University of Natural Sciences.
The event is part of practical activities to improve youths’ knowledge of President Ho Chi Minh’s life, career and moral example, and encourage them to become responsible citizens in the country’s new era.
* The Sen Village Festival 2015, co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Nghe An provincial authorities, started off with an art program themed “Ho Chi Minh – His name forever bright” at the Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh city. National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and representatives from central and local agencies and neighbooring countries attended the event.
The program is part of the activities to mark the 125th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and disseminate his thoughts and enhance the “Learning and following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” movement nationwide.
The event drew the participation of 30 public art troupes across the country and two foreign art troupes of Xiengkhuang and Nakhon Phanom provinces of Laos and Thailand, respectively.
