On April 9th, the Muong cultural heritage museum opened in Thai Binh precinct, in the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh with the purpose of preserving and promoting the value of the Muong people’s cultural heritage.


Covering on an area of 4,000 square metres, it is the second private museum in the locality and the 24th in Vietnam.


There are six main buildings serving various functions, such as studying, collecting, preserving and showcasing cultural artifacts of Muong ethnic people, as well as offering cultural-related services such as serving traditional cuisine or delivering traditional art performances, promoting the cultural heritage values of the people. It is managed by Bachelor of Culture, Bui Thanh Binh.


About 5,000 artifacts are on display at the museum, including a thousand-year-old bronze drum, gongs and pottery./.
