(VOV) – In the lead up to the – Connecting World Heritages – tourism year, the northern province of Thanh Hoa staged a flower street on April 1 decorated to feature the nation’s rich cultural heritage.
Every year the Vietnam National Tourism Administration sets a theme for tourism promotion. Inspired by the country’s UNESCO heritage sites, this year’s theme will promote their connectivity and tourism appeal.
The tourism year also aims to facilitate ASEAN regional cooperation, deepen mutual understanding within the region and establish mutually beneficiary ties for all related nations.
A diversity of other events such as a traditional village market, a photo exhibition, art performances, and Ao Dai fashion show along with a flower market were also organised in connection with the flower street.
The National Tourism Year is scheduled to kick off April 3 in Thanh Hoa City’s Lam Son Square.
