Song Cau town has nearly 80-km-long coastline, with beautiful scenery around Xuan Dai Bay and Cu Mong lagoon. These are advantages for developing tourism services, relaxation, swimming, fishing, sports … Besides, forests have multiple streams, caves, beautiful waterfalls, which is conducive to the ecotourism development. Especially, Song Cau town is in a very convenient location with two passing National Highways (1A, 1D), with DT 644 route connecting Song Cau with Dong Xuan, in the coming time will connect with Gia Lai Province and to be adjacent to Quy Nhon, Nhon Hoi economic zone (Binh Dinh province). Promoting these potentials, Song Cau town has focused on tourism development planning. In addition to the eight attractions of provincial planning: Long Hai (10ha) – Xuan Yen; Bai Tram (70ha) – Xuan Canh, Bai Om (18ha) – Xuan Phuong; Dong Be (30ha) – Xuan Thinh, Bai Bang ( 20ha), Bai Bau (10ha), Bai Rang (30ha), tourism village in hamlet 2 in Xuan Hai commune (100 ha), the town has also identified a number of other attractions, namely Nhat Tu Son (Xuan Thanh ward) , Bai Tien zone (Xuan Canh commune), Thach Khe dam, Suoi Mo, Con Dinharchaeological site (Xuan Loc commune), Go Oc archaeologicalsite (Xuan Binh commune), beaches in east of Dong Bac Song Cau Industrial Park, Long Binh Royal step-over place, Hon Nan, Hon Huong, Yen Beo mountain, Diem Truong ancient village, Cong Than Temple. Simultaneously, has formed two tours (one: Xuan Dai Bay – Cu Mong lagoon and vicinity; two: Tuy Hoa city – Song Cau – Dong Bac Song Cau zone – Binh Dinh).

During the past years, taking advantage of capital sources, Song Cau town has invested in constructing and upgrading important infrastructure for socio-eco development in association with the development of services, tourism, such as : routes of Xuan Binh – Xuan Hai, Tam Giang – My Hai, Trung Trinh – Vung La, Phu Duong – VinhHoa, Hoa Phu – Hoa An, Hoa Phu – Hoa Thanh, Hoa My – Hoa Loi, Long Hai polder area.. Besides, Ganh Do sauce fish, Thanh Hoa fish-balls knitting, An Hoa drying anchovies…were recognized as traditional villages by PPC, contributing to local tourism development. Environmental protection, cultural-social development, security and national defense have been attached significant attention. The town has collaborated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to complete documents submitting recognition of Long Binh Royal step-over place cultural-historical relics, Dao Tri Tombs and temples, establishing documents to recognize Xuan Dai Bay as national-level beautiful spot (one of the most beautiful bays in the world), lifting Tam Giang River contest into festival, Tuong (Classic Drama) Club to Song Cau town “Tuong” delegation.. . to attract tourists to Song Cau.

Nonetheless, in recent years, tourism activities’ development of Song Cau town has not commensurated with the position, potentials and advantages, especially marine tourism. To overcome these above-mentioned shortcomings and to promote Song Cau tourism for rapid growth, the need to synchronously perform following tasks, solutions: Effectively implementing investment-attracting policies of the the province for developping services and tourism. Continuing to promote attraction, improving efficiency of investment capital, giving priorities for infrastructure development of econo-social development in associated with tourism development, especially marine tourism.

Building long-term program as well as annual plan of investment promotion, attraction in tourism development, immediately giving priorities to following tourism sites: Bai Om, Dong Be, eco-tourism village in Xuan Hai. Developping new tourism service models on Xuan Dai Bay, developing forest-garden eco-tourism to the West. Paying attention to linking with localities in the forming resort tours, closed sea-forestecology sightseeing, tourism towards resources … Promoting Song Cau tourism brand-name; building brands for such specialties as lobsters, fish sauce, dried anchovies, Quan De wine, seahorses wine, girdle cake, coconut … Coordinating with provincial functional departments to promote the tourism planning by 2020 and orientation to 2030. Detailed sea-planning to serve, develop marine tourism. Developing the systems of restaurants, hotels, motels … towards rehabilitation and upgrading the existing facilities, constructing new tourism clusters, ensuring the quality, which ensures efficiently competing with surrounding areas.

Strengthening the technical infrastructure for tourism development, giving priorities to upgrading and developing the network of main traffic routes, especially transport routes to such identified destinations as : Bai Nom (Xuan Hoa), Bai Tram (Xuan Canh), Thach Khe (Xuan Loc), Dong Be and Tu Nham (Xuan Thinh), Vung Chao and Vung La (Xuan Phuong), Nhat Tu Son (Xuan Thanh), Ganh Do (Xuan Dai), Han stream, Cay Du waterfall (Xuan Lam). Focus on exploiting potentials of humanities, history and culture to create own identities for tourists attraction, such as Tam Giang River Festival, Fishing festivals, “Tuong”, “Bai Choi” in coastal communes… Researching to recover and develop local specialty dishes, traditional festivals, traditional villages to create unique, products with local characterized culture to attract tourists. Strengthening state management and training of human resources for tourism development. In coordination with thenDepartment of Culture, Sports and Tourism to well manage tourism attractions in the town, which was planned by the province and actively supporting investors to accelerate tourism construction in the area. Building marine-protected areas, restoring mangrove forests in association with tourism development; creating conditions for Song Cau town to become a safe and attractive destination to for foreign tourists and investors, entrepreneurs.
