(VOVworld)- The President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan on Saturday met with leaders of the Communist Party of India (CPI) and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) during his ongoing visit to India.
In separate meetings in New Delhi, Nhan and leaders of the two Parties discussed the development of their Parties and issues of mutual concern. Leaders of the CPI and CPI(M) expressed their hope that the two countries will further bilateral ties, especially in economics and trade for the benefits of the two peoples and for prosperity in the region. Mr. Nhan said he hoped the relationship between the Communist Party of Vietnam with the CPI and CPI(M) will be further strengthened. He hoped these Parties will continue support India’s multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership with Vietnam.
The same day, Mr. Nhan attended the India-Vietnam Business Forum organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Nhan said Vietnam is making every effort to realize the ASEAN Economic Community this year. India has become one of Vietnam’s 10 largest trade partners. He urged government agencies and businesses of both countries to grasp opportunities to boost bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
