Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong attended the ribbon cutting ceremony to open theSpring Press Festival 2015 at Giang Vo Exhibition Center in Hanoi on February 7.
The festival displays 125 booths of 65 media agencies presenting their publications, including Spring and Lunar New Year (Tet) editions. The event also provides visitors with an overall view on the history of Vietnam’s revolutionary press.
The festival aims to celebrate with the 85 th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3), the 125 th birthday anniversary of the late President Ho Chi Minh (May 19), the 70 th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), and the 40 th anniversary of southern liberation and national unification, according to Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, Thuan Huu.
The organization board will give prizes to newspapers and magazines with the best design, best cover, and best arrangement of their booths.
The festival lasts till February 10.
