Caring about Tet for policy families and poor people

The Hai Duong provincial People’s Committee has taken over VND23.3 billion to visit and present gifts to policy beneficiaries and grant difficulty allowances.

The Hai Duong provincial People’s Committee has taken over VND23.3 billion from the social security source assigned in the 2015 plan for the Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs to visit and present gifts to policy beneficiaries and grant difficulty allowances.

In which, 66,525 gifts (worth VND300,000 each) will be presented to martyrs’ families and people rendering services to the national revolution; 36 typical families entitled to policies will be given gifts, worth VND1.2 million each; 1,339 members of centers under the management of the Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs will be offered gifts; 60 visually-impaired pupils currently studying at the Center for Rehabilitation, Vocational Training, and Job Creation (provincial Blind Association) will be granted allowances, etc.

* Leaders of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee on February 10 visited and presented Chi Linh Leprosy Hospital, Hai Duong Social Protection and Nurturing Center, and Chi Linh Mental and Neurological Nurturing Center with 20 Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts each with a total value of VND6 million.

* The provincial Blind Association’s Representative Board on February 10 afternoon visited and offered gifts to Nguyen Thi Hao, a 72-year-old disabled, lonely, and helpless person in Co Cham hamlet, Viet Hong commune (Thanh Ha district), and Nguyen Thi Tam, a 84-year-old poor person having been sick for a long time in Van Tai hamlet, Nam Hong commune (Nam Sach district).

* The provincial Young Business Association on February 10 morning visited and presented gifts, worth VND600,000 each, to 20 former young volunteers, children suffering from life-threatening diseases, and disadvantaged pupils in Binh Giang district.

* Ms. Mai Thi Tho, Secretary of the Cam Giang district Party Committee, and the district Red Cross on the afternoon of February 9 visited and presented seven gifts, worth VND500,000 – VND700,000 each, to families entitled to policies and lonely and disadvantaged elderly people in Tan Truong and Cam Phuc communes.

The Cam Giang district Buddhist Sangha on February 10 visited and offered gifts to 150 extremely disadvantaged people in the communes of Cam Dinh, Cao An, Cam Vu, Cam Van, Duc Chinh, Cam Phuc, Tan Truong, Cam Son, and Cam Hoang and Lai Cach district town. Each locality received 15 gifts with a total value of VND60 million. The money was donated by Buddhist monks, nuns, and believers in Cam Giang district.

* Since the beginning of February, Minh Anh Trade Private Enterprise in Lai Cach district town (Cam Giang district) has spent VND16.5 million in presenting 55 gifts, worth VND300,000 each. Of which, there were 35 gifts for poor people and the Cam Giang district Association for Victims of Agent Orange/ Dioxin, 10 gifts for poor people in Tran Hung Dao ward (Hai Duong city), and 10 gifts for poor people in Gia Tan commune (Gia Loc district).

* On the morning of February 10, the provincial Disabled Youth Club in collaboration with Hai Duong Loving Arms Club visited and gave poor pupils of Hong Lac Primary School 40 gifts and policy beneficiaries in Hong Lac commune (Thanh Ha district) 10 gifts, worth VND300,000 each.
