The preliminary round of the 3rd art festival of the Vietnamese community in Czech was officially opened in Karlovy Vary, the Czech Republic on January 17th.


The event aims to mark the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, organized by the Embassy of Vietnam, the Overseas Vietnamese Association and the Vietnam Art and Cultural Association.


The preliminary round has 12 performances from candidates from the overseas Vietnamese branches in Czech.


The event was attended by Ms. Pavnina Hancová, Director of the The Centre for Integration of Foreigners (CIC) in Karlovy Vary and overseas Vietnamese associations in Karlovy Vary, Chomutov and Cheb.


The items were prepared well and of high quality. The first prize was awarded to a performance by candidates from Karlovy Vary. In addition, the second prize, two third prizes and two consolation prizes were given to candidates from Cheb, Karlovy Vary and Chomutov.


The preliminary round will be organized in Praha, Ústí nad Labem and Brno. The final round will take place on February 13th at Sapa trade centre in Czech’s Praha capital./.
