The concert will feature the Covent Garden Soloists Orchestra from London’s world-renowned Royal Opera House under the direction of Spanish conductor Miguel Angel Navarro, with the performance of outstanding duo Pamela Tan Nicholson and Vasko Vassilev.
The programme will also include the performance of young flute star Nguyen Ly Huong with Flute Concerto in G major by W.A. Mozart. Huong, who won the contest in southern China’s Nanning City in 2013, has performed in many countries, including Thailand, Japan and Germany.
Doan Thi Yen, Vice President of Toyota Motor Vietnam said that the concert demonstrates the company’s commitment to the development of the people and society of Vietnam and Asia. This year marks the concert’s 25th anniversary of entertaining audiences in Asia-Pacific.
This year’s concert will travel across several Southeast Asian countries: Singapore, Cambodia, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
In Vietnam, the concert has been co-organised by Toyota Motor Asia-Pacific, Toyota Motor Vietnam and the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism for the past 17 years.
All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Toyota Scholarship Fund for Young Music Talents of Vietnam.
