NA Vice Chairman applauds VOV

(VOV) – Since its inception 69 years ago, Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) has been an integral part of Vietnamese daily life, both nurturing and vividly reflecting the cultural and moral values of the nation.


National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu made the affirmation on November 7 at an exchange with VOV leaders and NA deputies at the media conglomerates headquarters in Hanoi.


Luu expressed great pride in VOV, for having made significant and vitally important contributions in the two resistance wars and for continuing to play an instrumentally important role in the country’s renewal and development process.



The NA Vice Chairman expessed his strong desire that VOV would continue to uphold traditional values to build a devoted staff to enhance VOV’s prestige throughout the world.


He suggested that VOV should strive to assume a leading role in the global media broadcasting arena and make every effort to take the forefront in the industry, thus preserving the VOV trademark.


He undercored the importance of the new endeavour of VOV in collaboration with NA agencies to launch a new dynamic NA broadcasting channel in the time ahead that aims to provide audiences with fascinating programming.


VOV Director General Nguyen Dang Tien in turn affirmed the determination of VOV to take the vanguard in broadcasting and transform itself into one of the leading global news agencies.


He assured the NA Vice Chairman that VOV would continue to innovate and aggressively prepare for the launch of the new NA programming channel, which would update all meetings of the NA and People’s Councils at the municipal and provincial levels.


He expressed his hope that NA leaders would provide support and instructions forimplementing the new channel most effectively.
