(Cinet)- Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has had Document No. 3611/BVHTTDL-HTQT on October 10 sending to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Justice about Document from the Prime Minister and the Memorandum about restoring and maintaining the world heritage of My Son relic site.
Earlier, India and Vietnam have a negotiation about the Memorandum about restoring and maintaining the world heritage of My Son relic site. Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism fulfilled Draft of the Memorandum and exchanged some opinions with India’s representatives. On October 10, India side agreed with the Draft.
In Document No.1906/VPCP-QHQT on October 08, 2014, the PM’s Office informed that PM Nguyen Tan Dung will have a visit to India on late October, 2014 to discuss about the Memorandum.
To sign the Memorandum, the MOCST proposed that some ministries should consider some relevant documents and give some opinions about the Memorandum.
As known, Vietnam and India will give some measures to maintain and restore the towers at the relic site in Qunag Nam. The India’s representatives will directly cooperate with Quang Nam Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to maintain and restore the towers of My Son heritage.
Binh Dinh is also the locality with the largest number of Champa heritage sites, including the Champa capital, Vijaya, which thrived from the 11th to the 15th centuries and lies in what is now An Nhon district, 27km northwest of Quy Nhon City; and a total of 14 Champa towers, all in various sizes, shapes and decorations, scattered throughout the province.
