(VOV) – Eighteen Japanese youths participated in a friendship exchange between Vietnam and Japan in Binh Phuoc province from September 5-10.
During the event, the Japanese youths stayed in five local houses in Dong Xoai commune, Binh Phuoc province. They visited a typical farm in Binh Long commune and cashew processing plant of Tuan Bong Co. Ltd, and met with a local youth business association.
They also visited Ta Thiet historical site in Loc Ninh district and planted trees there.
Within the exchange, the Japanese youths offered gifts to 70 poor students worth a total of VND9 million. They also took part in an art performance exchange and played folk games with local young people.
Japanese delegation head Seki Akinori emphasized the event helps Japanese young people understand more about Vietnamese culture, landscape and people.
The exchange is a part of activities celebrating 41 years since the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties.
