The 2014 Made-in-Thailand Outlet Fair opened in Hanoi on August 14, attracting 150 Thai exhibitors and a range of quality and eye-catching products for four days.
Up to 180 pavilions at the fair offer food, beverages, fruits, household appliances, jewelry, cosmetics, garments, souvenirs, automobile spare parts, electrical and aviation devices at affordable prices.
The event is a platform for Vietnamese and Thai enterprises to extend networking and boost trade, said Thai Ambassador to Vietnam Panyarak Pulsap at the opening ceremony.
According to deputy head of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade Ta Hoang Linh, trade between Vietnam and Thailand topped 1 billion USD for the first time in 2000 and soared to 9.4 billion USD last year.
In the first four months of this year, the figure hit 3 billion USD.
Vietnam is Thailand’s second largest trade partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and the ninth biggest in the world.-VNA
