Korean cultural week in Hanoi Related image(s)
A week of celebrating Korean traditional cultural will take place at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, 36 Ly Thuong Kiet street, Hanoi from August 17 -23. The event will include a range of diverse activities including, a Korean mask and Pungmul art exhibition, Talchum and Pungmul folk dance performances, the trying on of Hanbok-Korean traditional costumes, and of course, enjoying Korean cuisine. The event is the result of a joint effort by the Vietnam Women’s Museum and the Korean Cultural Centre in Hanoi. It aims to help Vietnamese people understand more about the country and its people by promoting friendly cooperation between the two nations. Back in October 27 last year, under the support of the Vietnamese Embassy to Korea, the Vietnamese Association in Korea, authorities of Daejeon city, Chungnam University and the Kumho Tire Co. athird Vietnam – Korea cultural festival was held in Daejeon city. The activity marked the 21st founding anniversary of establishing Vietnam – Korea friendship and to promote solidarity and exchanges between the community of Vietnamese people living and working in the Republic of Korea and to introduce images of Vietnam and it’s people to the Koreans./. |
