Nhan Dan – The Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee and Hanoi’s Labour Union held a conference on July 31 to honour outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs of Hanoi in 2014.
The event was attended by Vice President, Nguyen Thi Doan and Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Nguyen The Thao, along with other Hanoi leaders.
In recent years, capital city enterprises and entrepreneurs have actively contributed to promoting production, delivered goods to the countryside, and have participated in emulation movements.
Over 150 outstanding businesses, 100 entrepreneurs and individual in Hanoi received excellent emulation flags and certificates. The businesses have gained the reputation for successes they have made in productivity, quality, socio-economic efficiency, technological renewal and environmental protection.
Additionally, the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee awarded ‘Capital Initiative – Creation’ certificates to 121 extraordinary individuals.
Launched from 2007, the ‘Capital Initiative – Creation’ emulation movement, aiming to improve the quality and effectiveness of production and business activities, has attracted the participation of workers, officers and employees.
The conference aimed to praise enterprises for their outstanding achievements in emulation movements, which contributed to the socio-economic development of the capital.
Addressing at the conference, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, Nguyen The Thao asked related branches to continue to improve emulation movements and create good conditions for businesses to open markets and raise product quality.
