Eleven Vietnamese female painters are attending the international exhibition “Her Presence in Colors XI” in Mongolia.

The event held by the International Women Artist’s Council (INWAC) at the Mongolian Modern Art Gallery, Ulan Bator features 124 female artists from 20 countries, including Australia, Germany, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and the U.S.


The Vietnamese delegation consists of painters Bui Thi Mai Hien, Cao Thi Duoc, Dang Thi Duong, Huynh Phuong Thi Dai Trang, Nguyen Thi Anh Dao, Nguyen Thi Kim Chi, Nguyen Thuy Huong, Tran Phuong My, Tran Thi Suong, Tran Thuy Linh, and Vi Tuyet Mai who are members of INWAC-Vietnam.


According to the organizers, the exhibition which is themed “Love” gives female artists a chance to share their opinions on love, arts and life through a wide range of materials like oil, silk, lacquer, ink, and watercolors.


A seminar titled “The Expression of Love in Women’s Art” is also scheduled to be organized along with the exhibition.


Participating artists will also pay a visit to museums, relics, and studios and meet with fine arts and cultural representatives from Mongolia.


The International Women Artist’s Council was founded in 1999 and is now based in Malaysia with 20 member countries.


The 11st “Her Presence in Colors” is running from July 21 to 27. In 2010, the 10th edition was organized in Ho Chi Minh City.
