More than 100 flights operated by national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and about 8,461 passengers have been affected by awful weather in recent days.
As a result of bad weather, from July 7 to 11, 40 flights from/to Pleiku and Da Lat Cities in the Central Highlands were canceled.
Seven flights to Pleiku and Buon Ma Thuot Cities, also in the same highland region, had to change course and 50 others were delayed.
About 6,000 passengers in total on these flights were affected, according to a Vietnam Airlines statement.
On July 12, about 20 Vietnam Airlines flights with 2,461 flyers aboard from/to Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City and from/to Shanghai and Guangzhou airports in China were affected by bad weather and heavy rain.
The Vietnamese national flag carrier has committed itself to supporting these passengers.
