(Cinet)- The Saigon Chamber Music program 2014 will take place at the HCMC Conservatory of Music from August 02-09. This is summer festival for young misicians and music students in the country.
Saigon Chamber Music 2014 will open with the concert titled “Mosaic of a Century“, a concert features works of Maurice Ravel, Zoltan Kodaly, Zoe Martlew, and Dmitri Shostakovich.
It will be followed by performances by well – known Vietnamese-British pianist Tra Nguyen, UK celllist Zoe Martlew and Norwegian leading violinist Atle Sponberg. They will also lecture and hold master classes on chamber music for students and young musicians this summer
In the UK, summer music festivals play an important role in the process of musical training.
During the week of the festival, young artists will learn experiences from the three famous artists.
Workshops on music will be held every evening for music lovers and music students. Between the seminars will be musical performances with professional presentations.
The summer music festival is organised by the HCMC Conservatory of Music and the Transposition Programme (a Norwegian-Vietnamese organization for the development of music in Vietnam).
